What do I teach? Lots of stuff! Generally on guitar & lap steel. Private lessons are currently available for students of all ages from beginner to intermediate levels of playing. All lessons are structured on each students abilities and interests, with encouragement to explore new techniques through song.

Intermediate lessons focus on helping students further their skills and gain new confidence by bringing clarity to many aspects of their playing. Including; rhythm, flat-picking, finger-picking, composition, theory, improvisation, slide & open tunings.  

I have been teaching privately and in various music studios for 10 years, 5 of which I was the head instructor of Folkway Music's lessons program in Guelph. 

I currently teach privately at my home studio in Fergus. Here students can arrange to have a weekly lesson time, or schedule a single lesson of any length at any time. I am also willing to travel within the Fergus/Elora area if schedules permit.
